About The Position

The Legal Policy Operations Triage Team is the first point of transfer for credible, specific and imminent escalations to the Emergency Response Team and Child Safety Teams for processing. The LPO Triage team is the first line of defence when dealing with extreme risk on TikTok.

Requirements

1-2 yrs experience in Trust Safety, Law Enforcement/Government agencies.
Experience with handling and viewing distressing content.
Ability to perform duties objectively, devoid of inherent biases or personal beliefs.
Experience of assessing risk and the ability to think critically and make quick decisions.
Proven experience managing and navigating data while maintaining the highest standards of privacy and data law compliance.
Strong, demonstrated background in meticulous record-keeping during fast-paced, high-stakes investigations.
Experience collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams and working independently with sound judgement.

Responsibilities

Immediate assessment and review of Emergency & Child Safety Livestream content that poses an extreme risk of serious injury or death to a user and /or child abuse or exploitation.
Conduct livestream proactive reporting, processing, and profile content sweeps for escalations to law enforcement.
Extensive knowledge across relevant policies to enable swift decision making adhering to robust SLA's.
Work on Global markets reviewing content, posts, comments, users profiles while assessing the escalation in line with a risk assessment matrix.
Record relevant notes and decisions in line with policies and SOP's.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive improvements to policies and processes.
The ability to work with issues that include suicide content, child exploitation, a variety of religious and political views, violence, and adult content.
Investigate and resolve urgent, imminent reports of threats, including verifying the threat's existence and conducting deep-dive investigations into platform and user data.
Drive and participate in key projects across Trust and Safety.
This role requires you to work full weekend coverage and public holidays due to the team's global markets coverage.
