$1,000 RECRUITING BONUS! New England Dermatology & Laser Center has been providing dermatology care to the greater Springfield community for over 70 years. We're looking for an experienced Triage Medical Assistant with initiative & a conscientious work ethic to join our busy specialty practice. Heavy patient interaction. The triage medical assistant is responsible for facilitating a positive patient office experience while acting as a telephone health information resource and providing superior customer service to patients in person and on the phone. This position supports clinical teams by triaging telephone calls and messages (including basic dermatological problems and questions), scheduling appointments, providing lab results, entering I-Pledge data, completing and providing documentation for prior authorizations, processing prescription refill requests, completing prior authorizations and requesting referrals, and medically assisting MDs and mid-level providers with general, cosmetic or Mohs dermatology care and treatment or providing Blu-U, phototherapy or Xtrac treatments, and other related tasks. Schedule: Company working hours are M-F 7:30a-4:30p Day shift No weekends Work setting: In-person The regular work location will be primarily Springfield, but may vary between our offices (Northampton, Springfield, Longmeadow and Westfield) based on staffing and provider needs for float medical assistant responsibilities. This position reports to the General Dermatology Manager.
