About The Position

Under the direction of Operations, The Triage & Prescription Refill nurse will handle phone calls from patients who are seeking medical information and/or medical attention. They will schedule appointments as the patient’s condition requires, answer questions, and provide limited health education. They will monitor desktops for those providers who are out of the office for the day and triage material as needed. They will also initiate electronic prescription refills and initiate labs and/or follow up visits that are required for monitoring and adhering to mediations

Requirements

• Possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Two years clinical experience preferred
• Thorough knowledge of practical nursing theory, standard practices, rules, and regulations related to nursing
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and aseptic technique
• Ability to keep accurate records and use an EMR comfortably
• Competent organizational skills and must be able to set priorities
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team, patients, and community representatives
