We're proud to share our story and Make Amazing Happen at CDW. We are seeking a highly skilled Trellix Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Trellix cybersecurity solutions and will serve as the primary technical authority for deployment, configuration, and optimization of Trellix products within a secure environment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with enterprise security tools, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and security posture.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance (mandatory).
  • Proven experience as a Trellix SME or similar role in cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of Trellix product suite (formerly McAfee Enterprise), including ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Endpoint Security, and related modules.
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF).
  • Hands-on experience with incident response and threat analysis.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as Trellix Certified Product Specialist, CISSP, or Security+.
  • Experience working in a classified environment.
  • Background in large-scale enterprise security deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical expert for Trellix solutions, including endpoint security, network security, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Trellix security architecture in alignment with organizational security policies and federal compliance standards.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning for Trellix products.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate Trellix solutions into broader security operations.
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure Trellix systems are optimized and up to date.
  • Deliver training and guidance to internal teams on Trellix capabilities and usage.
