About The Position

iWorks Corporation is seeking a Trellix Administrator Federal Client's cybersecurity program. This role will focus on administering and optimizing Trellix (formerly McAfee) endpoint security solutions across hybrid enterprise environments while supporting secure cloud expansion efforts. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience managing enterprise security tools in regulated federal environments, supporting Agile teams, and maintaining compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. This position requires a proactive professional who is comfortable operating independently while collaborating across cybersecurity and IT teams.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in system administration, cybersecurity, or enterprise endpoint security management.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience administering Trellix (McAfee) endpoint security solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Experience managing endpoint security policies, agent deployments, and troubleshooting complex hybrid infrastructures.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
  • Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity compliance requirements and regulated government environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize Trellix endpoint security platforms including policy configuration, agent deployment, and module upgrades.
  • Conduct deployment cleanups by reviewing legacy configurations, removing obsolete policies and agents, and remediating misconfigurations.
  • Support Trellix integrations within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to ensure secure cloud-hosted workloads and compliance with agency standards.
  • Monitor endpoint compliance, vulnerabilities, and incident response activities using Trellix tools aligned with DoD security requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and utilize Jira to track tasks, manage backlog items, and document system updates and incidents.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated cybersecurity incidents in collaboration with IT and security teams.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, system architecture diagrams, and audit artifacts.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives within a mission-focused team environment.
