We're excited to offer the opportunity for a Tree Trimmer/Climber in Venice, FL. THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN VENICE, FL Position Overview This position performs a variety of tree trimming duties. Consisting of but not limited to; Palm tree trimming from a ladder, operation of aerial equipment, raking of debris, operation of chain saws, operation of pole saws, operation of backpack blowers, hand loading and carrying of debris from back yards, operation of woodchippers, and hand loading of logs and large debris. In addition preventative maintenance of the small equipment is required such as cleaning of the air filters, cleaning of the chain saw bar and body, sharpening of the chains, replacement of chains, refueling and re-oiling chain saws, checking the essential fluids of the truck, greasing the aerial booms, inspection of the aerial boom for leaks and proper operation, checking for proper tire inflation on the truck, greasing of the wood chipper, checking proper tire inflation on the wood chipper, checking for proper operation of all signals and emergency lights on the truck and wood chipper. Also, preparing an operating a safe work site including set up and take down of safety cones and signs, ensuring personnel protection equipment is worn at all times such as helmets, fall protection, ear plugs, safety glasses, and gloves to prevent injury.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tree Trimmer/Climber with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of tree species and proper pruning techniques.
• Ability to climb trees safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency in operating tree care equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain chainsaws, aerial lifts, and other tree care equipment.
• Assess tree health and identify potential hazards.
• Remove branches and debris from work sites.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Provide excellent customer service.
