About The Position

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of tree service vehicles and equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of both gas and diesel-powered equipment used for client services. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience working on a variety of equipment and machinery, including skid-loaders, chippers, and other tree care equipment. This role is vital to keeping our operations running smoothly and minimizing downtime.

Requirements

Proven experience as a mechanic, with at least 2-4 years in equipment and small engibe repair, preferably in the tree service, or landscaping industries.
Must be able to ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques for both vehicles and equipment.
Ability to work closely with the operations team to schedule equipment repairs to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair work on tree service equipment, including skid-loaders, chippers, stump grinders, and other equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, brake checks, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify problems, and perform repairs to ensure vehicles and equipment are safe and operational.
Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Maintain and repair specialized tree care equipment, such as chippers, aerial lifts, chainsaws, and other tools used on job sites.
Keep track of necessary parts, tools, and supplies, and ensure they are readily available for repairs and maintenance.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed on vehicles and equipment.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
