Treatment Plant Operator Senior
About The Position
Essential Functions: Support 24/7 operations. Oversee the operation and routine maintenance of process and support areas. Monitor, initiate, and direct adjustments to plant processes and equipment both manually and through process control systems including remote facilities. Adjust plant processes as indicated by laboratory tests. Take samples of wastewater and other process flows. Perform basic wastewater laboratory analysis. Clean plant process areas and equipment. Maintain records and prepare reports. Direct Treatment Plant Operator Trainees and Treatment Plant Operators to investigate and correct process control problems. Assist in training operators. Assist plant's trades employees. Required to fill-in for Team Leaders at the Treatment Plant. Additional Responsibilities: Perform related work as required or as delegated by Team Leaders and Supervisor.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent and possess a Missouri Class "A" wastewater treatment operator’s license.
- Must possess and maintain a Missouri Class "A" wastewater treatment operator's license.
- Must possess a valid driver's license by the state in which the employee resides.
- Pursuant to MSD's "Substance Abuse Policy and Procedures," this position has been designated as safety sensitive, and candidate must pass a Non-D.O.T. Drug Test for this position.
- Employees occupying this position are not subject to Federal (D.O.T.) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations
- Employees of MSD must have a meets expectations.
