About The Position

Jupiter Power is an energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, and operation of battery energy storage assets in wholesale electricity markets. We are seeking an Associate, Treasury to join our Financial Operations team. In this role, you will be hands-on within the treasury function, supporting the company’s liquidity, banking relationships, and financial risk management. This position requires a self-starter who is comfortable owning day-to-day treasury operations while partnering directly with internal stakeholders and external banks. The role combines execution, analysis, and process improvement, with meaningful visibility to leadership and direct interaction with the CFO while reporting to the VP of Financial Operations. This role will be based out of our Chicago, IL office and is subject to our Company’s return-to-office policy which currently requires a minimum of three days a week in the office. Jupiter seeks individuals eager to develop their core professional knowledge, learn new areas of business and take on additional responsibilities within Jupiter’s dynamic team. Secondary responsibilities will be tailored to individual candidate backgrounds as well as company priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required
  • 2–5 years of experience of hands-on responsibility in corporate treasury, with additional finance, accounting, or banking is a plus.
  • Experience developing and maintaining financial reports and metrics
  • Experience with Sage or similar accounting software

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to directly interact with various management levels, and external banks clearly and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Cash Management & Forecasting Own daily cash positioning and liquidity monitoring across company accounts.
  • Maintain company’s cash flow forecasts in collaboration with finance and operating teams.
  • Reconcile forecasted cash flows to actual results, investigate variances, and proactively communicate impacts to treasury and finance leadership.
  • Support funding and repayment decisions under the company’s credit revolver by identifying upcoming cash needs, timing considerations, and potential liquidity risks.
  • Letters of Credit (LCs) & Bonds Independently coordinate the issuance, amendment, renewal, and termination of letters of credit and bonds with external banking partners.
  • Act as the primary treasury contact for internal teams requesting LCs or bonds, guiding them through requirements, timelines, and documentation.
  • Maintain complete ownership of LC and bond tracking, including remaining facility capacity, cost of security, and forecasting future costs.
  • Apply a strong working knowledge of LC and bond structures, terms, and risks to ensure accurate execution and risk awareness.
  • Banking & Financial Institution Relationships Manage day-to-day relationships with the company’s banking partners, serving as the primary operational point of contact.
  • Handle bank account administration, including openings, closures, signatories, and ongoing KYC/compliance requests.
  • Coordinate directly with banks to resolve transactional issues, service inquiries, and operational challenges.
  • Coordinate the integration of bank accounts with ERP and invoice processing services Assist in evaluating bank performance, fees, and services in a resource-efficient environment.
  • Reporting & Management Support Prepare and maintain concise, decision-useful treasury reporting for management, including cash balances, liquidity metrics, debt, and LC/bond exposure.
  • Ensure treasury data is accurate, timely, and clearly communicated.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to support business decisions, audits, and senior management requests.
  • Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement Execute treasury activities in accordance with internal controls, policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Identify and implement practical process improvements, automation opportunities, and documentation enhancements.
