About The Position
The employee is responsible for processing payments, balancing cash drawers, and reconciling deposits with taxes paid and bank records. Duties include researching property tax listings, computing and receiving payments, and conducting county-wide fieldwork for collections. The role involves developing and maintaining financial reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Additional responsibilities may include reconciling Property Tax Roll Collections and Distributions, processing county-wide revenue, and ensuring compliance with the County Finance Program. This position requires minimal supervision, with work performed independently and occasionally as part of a specialized team. The employee may be required to work irregular hours, travel to offices in Artesia or Carlsbad, attend job-related meetings in and out of town, and perform other duties as assigned .
