About The Position
Bay Village City School District seeks a strategic, detail-oriented Treasurer to steward district finances, ensure fiscal accountability, and support long-term sustainability. This role offers the opportunity to lead financial operations in a high-performing district with strong community support, recent voter-approved investments, and a clear strategic direction focused on student success. The Treasurer will serve as a key partner to the Board of Education and Superintendent, supporting transparent decision-making, long-range financial planning, and responsible implementation of the district’s Facilities for the Future Plan.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio School Treasurer license (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
- Demonstrated experience in school district finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
- Experience with levy planning, permanent improvement funding, and capital project oversight
- Strong knowledge of Ohio school finance laws, reporting requirements, and internal controls
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to boards, administrators, and the community
- Strategic mindset with a commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
