About The Position

POSITION: Treasurer Assistant II (Bookkeeper), Administration Office Bargaining Unit Position 260 days, 8 hours per day PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounts Payable: Review and process invoices for payment to vendors Process warrant checks and ACH payments to vendors Assist with month, fiscal year & calendar year end closing procedures Process IRS 1099 forms Accounts Receivable: Process and enter receipts Payroll Assistance Process and calculate timesheets for entering into the payroll system General clerical duties including filing, physically and digitally Other duties as assigned by the Treasurer Assigned tasks will vary based on cross training within the Treasurer's Office Staff

Requirements

  • Must be high school graduate or equivalent
  • Proficient in computer applications with strength in Excel
  • Experience in purchase order processing, accounts payable & receivable, knowledge of 1099 reporting, clerical skills including the ability to maintain accurate documentation for auditing purposes
  • Ability to communicate, work collaboratively, professionally & proficiently with vendors and staff
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent attendance record required

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary course work in accounting preferred
