About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Traveling TIG Welder to join our team and support on-site welding projects at multiple locations. The ideal candidate is experienced in TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and/or aluminum, with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and consistent travel. This role requires the ability to work independently, adapt to different job site conditions, and maintain high welding standards across all assignments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–5 years of TIG welding experience (or equivalent training).
  • Strong proficiency welding thin and thick metals using the TIG process.
  • Ability to pass a TIG welding test (in-house or certified).
  • Experience fabricating or repairing industrial equipment, piping, structural components, or specialty applications preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently and stay on-site for extended periods (per diem provided).
  • Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb, bend, and work in various weather conditions.

  • AWS D17.1, D1.6, or other TIG-specific welding certifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, or specialty metals according to project requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings .
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and PPE safely and effectively.
  • Travel to various job sites to complete installation, fabrication, repair, or maintenance projects.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety standards .
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy, structural integrity, and quality compliance.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on schedule.
  • Prepare or assist with documentation, including weld logs, QA/QC reports, and time sheets.
  • Adapt to changing schedules, environments, and working conditions.
