We’re hiring a Traveling Technician (Mechanic) within our Abilene, TX region and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, provide maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company owned heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts and help us build the future of construction. Mechanics will have the opportunity to work on the newest equipment in the industry.

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to position
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics and diagrams
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Active applicable state class driver's license
  • Passing a 10 panel drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
  • Construction knowledge and background preferred

Responsibilities

  • Travel and support branches within your assigned region by performing on-site equipment service, maintenance, and repairs
  • Address hard and soft down equipment
  • Conduct machine inspections
  • Prepare units for use
  • Work closely with customers
  • Troubleshoot issues using real-time diagnostic tools
  • Apply electrical and hydraulic expertise to identify and resolve problems efficiently
  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
  • Use technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phone) comfortably
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools (pneumatic tools, material lifts, chain hoists, core drills, welders, pipe threaders, small engines) under the supervision of higher-tier technicians and while using a high degree of independent judgment
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
  • Other duties, assigned as needed
