About The Position

EquipmentShare is seeking a Traveling Technician (Mechanic) to join their team in the Lubbock, TX region. This role involves providing maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company-owned heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts. The company aims to transform the construction industry through innovative technology and real-time support. As a Traveling Technician, you will support branches within your assigned region by performing on-site equipment service, maintenance, and repairs, including addressing hard and soft down equipment, conducting machine inspections, and preparing units for use. You will work closely with customers, troubleshoot issues using real-time diagnostic tools, and apply electrical and hydraulic expertise to resolve problems efficiently. A strong understanding of schematics and a customer-focused approach are essential. Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to position
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics and diagrams
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Active applicable state class driver's license
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Passing a 10 panel drug screen (as this is a safety sensitive position)

Nice To Haves

  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements
  • Construction knowledge and background

Responsibilities

  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
  • Use technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phone) comfortably
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools (pneumatic tools, material lifts, chain hoists, core drills, welders, pipe threaders, small engines) under the supervision of higher-tier technicians and while using a high degree of independent judgment
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
  • Other duties, assigned as needed
