Our rapid growth and breadth of accounts translates into exciting opportunities for our people!Job SummaryThe Traveling Sous Chef supports the success of the culinary program across multiple locations. This role assists with all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu execution, food preparation, ordering, inventory, and staff leadership. The Traveling Sous Chef ensures food quality, safety, and presentation standards are consistently met while supporting new culinary initiatives and operational needs at various sites. This position is based in Atlanta and requires frequent, often weekly, travel.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, healthcare, military, or similar foodservice environments
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, production, and cost controls
  • Proven leadership, training, and coaching skills
  • Ability to create and manage production sheets
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred
  • Ability to travel frequently, often weekly, as required by the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily kitchen operations, including preparation and cooking of menu items
  • Support menu planning and execution in alignment with client and company standards
  • Travel to assigned locations to support openings, transitions, and operational needs
  • Assist with rolling out new culinary programs in partnership with culinary and marketing teams
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
  • Support cost controls, inventory management, and food waste reduction
  • Train, coach, and motivate back-of-house associates to meet operational goals
  • Ensure consistent food quality, freshness, and presentation across locations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
