As a Traveling Field Construction Welder , you won’t just be welding parts. You’ll be fabricating and repairing semi‑complex components that support critical construction and industrial operations. This is a role for someone who values precision, accountability, and pride in their welds . 🔥 Why This Role Is Different Your welds directly impact safety, performance, and structural integrity You’ll work across multiple welding processes — not just one You’re trusted to read drawings, make adjustments, and recommend improvements You’ll support real construction and field operations — not just shop work You’ll have access to training and AWS certification opportunities You’ll be part of a team that values quality, ownership, and continuous improvement 🛠What You’ll Be Doing Performing welding operations using SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GMAW‑P, TIG, and Carbon Arc welding Interpreting engineered drawings, weld symbols, and dimensions Fitting, aligning, calibrating, and adjusting components to meet exact tolerances Fabricating and repairing semi‑complex parts from raw materials Following red‑line changes and recommending process or design improvements Troubleshooting and repairing consumable failures (spring liners, nozzle insulators, tips, etc.) Using hand and power tools including grinders and chipping hammers Troubleshooting welding machines and equipment issues Entering labor hours into the ERP system (SAP) Supporting daily housekeeping and 5S initiatives Working closely with supervisors, managers, and peers to deliver quality work on schedule Meeting internal and external customer expectations consistently 📍 Where You’ll Make an Impact You’ll support field and construction operations , fabricating and repairing components that must meet exact standards in demanding environments.
