As a Traveling Field Construction Welder, you won’t just be welding parts. You’ll be fabricating and repairing semi‑complex components that support critical construction and industrial operations. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of relevant welding or fabrication experience (or equivalent education and experience)
Proven proficiency in: SMAW FCAW GMAW / GMAW‑P TIG Carbon Arc welding
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
Experience operating a wide range of hand and power tools
Willingness and ability to obtain AWS certifications (training provided)
Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while collaborating with field and shop teams

Responsibilities

Performing welding operations using SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GMAW‑P, TIG, and Carbon Arc welding
Interpreting engineered drawings, weld symbols, and dimensions
Fitting, aligning, calibrating, and adjusting components to meet exact tolerances
Fabricating and repairing semi‑complex parts from raw materials
Following red‑line changes and recommending process or design improvements
Troubleshooting and repairing consumable failures (spring liners, nozzle insulators, tips, etc.)
Using hand and power tools including grinders and chipping hammers
Troubleshooting welding machines and equipment issues
Entering labor hours into the ERP system (SAP)
Supporting daily housekeeping and 5S initiatives
Working closely with supervisors, managers, and peers to deliver quality work on schedule
Meeting internal and external customer expectations consistently
