As a Traveling Field Construction Welder, you won’t just be welding parts. You’ll be fabricating and repairing semi‑complex components that support critical construction and industrial operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant welding or fabrication experience (or equivalent education and experience)
  • Proven proficiency in: SMAW FCAW GMAW / GMAW‑P TIG Carbon Arc welding
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
  • Experience operating a wide range of hand and power tools
  • Willingness and ability to obtain AWS certifications (training provided)
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with field and shop teams

Responsibilities

  • Performing welding operations using SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GMAW‑P, TIG, and Carbon Arc welding
  • Interpreting engineered drawings, weld symbols, and dimensions
  • Fitting, aligning, calibrating, and adjusting components to meet exact tolerances
  • Fabricating and repairing semi‑complex parts from raw materials
  • Following red‑line changes and recommending process or design improvements
  • Troubleshooting and repairing consumable failures (spring liners, nozzle insulators, tips, etc.)
  • Using hand and power tools including grinders and chipping hammers
  • Troubleshooting welding machines and equipment issues
  • Entering labor hours into the ERP system (SAP)
  • Supporting daily housekeeping and 5S initiatives
  • Working closely with supervisors, managers, and peers to deliver quality work on schedule
  • Meeting internal and external customer expectations consistently
