About The Position

WRS is seeking an experienced Traveling Civil Construction Foreman to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on civil construction experience and a proven ability to lead field crews safely, efficiently, and with high quality standards. This position is travel‑based, with projects primarily located throughout Eastern Washington. Candidates must be comfortable working on the road for extended periods and overseeing day‑to-day field operations with limited supervision. Requirements

  • Understands and reviews full project work scope, including estimates, schedules, personnel and equipment needs.
  • Solid working of knowledge of civil construction, including constructability of all phases of construction.
  • Functional proficiency with HCSS Heavy Job, including daily reporting, time entry and production tracking.
  • Shall be trained and have certifications in CESCL, Driver’s license, TWIC, RSO, site specific training/badging where we are working, first aid/CPR, confined space, rigging, trenching, fall protection.
  • At least 5 years of field experience, and 3 years serving in foreman role.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the project schedule and scope of work for all assigned tasks and phases.
  • Plan ahead daily by ensuring all tools, supplies, materials, manpower, equipment and trucking to complete the next day’s activities.
  • Develop and maintain work schedules for the upcoming weeks to keep project on track.
  • Lead and direct and support the crew, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work.
  • Prepare daily documentation in Heavy Job, including timecards, production tracking, equipment hours and notes.
  • Communicate with PM’s/Superintendent regarding issues, changes, or potential impacts to schedule or budget.
  • Understand and manage the project's contract requirements, job scope, codes, expected production rates, material sources, truck routes and overall budget expectations.
  • Ensure accountability for all actions of the crew, maintaining safety, quality and professionalism at all times.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment, supporting collaboration and strong communication.
  • Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and consistent adherence to company policies and client expectations.
