About The Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Traveling Foreman to join our team. The Foreman is responsible for supervising and leading a team of workers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing project timelines. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel across the US up to 85% of the time (generally travel for 3–4 weeks and then a paid week at home). Company pays per-diem, lodging and travel.
  • 3 years’ experience as a construction foreman
  • Experience with electrical or civil construction is preferred
  • Able read/understand blueprints
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Possess basic computer skills including Word & email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving
  • Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid and rainy during all seasons throughout the year
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
  • Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and high visible vest when working on-site

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electrical or civil construction is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand blueprints and sketches and build to specification instructions with precision and quality
  • Ensure job is coordinated from start to finish to maximize efficiency and safety
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and keep them on task
  • Perform general construction tasks with a focus on concrete and electrical work
  • Safely operate and maneuver equipment and job site trailers
  • Provide detailed and accurate reporting of daily duties performed
  • Perform restoration of areas where work has been performed (leveling, seed, and straw)
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
  • Coordinate with local inspectors and Utility companies to execute the full scope of work
