About The Position

Overview Presbyterian Homes & Services Management division is seeking a Traveling Director of Nursing/Clinical Administrator for its corporate clinical team. This is a creative opportunity for an experienced clinical leader (RN) to work at the corporate level providing support for the clinical programs in PHS skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. The Traveling Director of Nursing/Clinical Administrator will provide hands-on site support and assist with corporate projects in the clinical department. This is a full time, benefit eligible position which includes regular travel to PHS sites. Responsibilities The Traveling Clinical Administrator is responsible for interim leadership of Clinical Departments in Care Centers. The position utilizes skills in planning, organizing, developing, evaluating and effectively directing the clinical staff and program on a temporary basis in order to ensure the ongoing delivery of high quality resident care and services consistent with regulations and PHS standards in the absence of a regular Clinical Administrator. In this role, the traveling Clinical Administrator may also be requested to serve as a Clinical Coordinator. In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Clinical Administrator position description, the Traveling Clinical Administrator is also responsible for: Providing interim support in the absence of a Clinical Administrator, Clinical Coordinator or site Registered Nurse ensure the ongoing delivery of high-quality resident care and services consistent with regulations and PHS standards. Assisting with training and orientation of new clinical team members as requested. Assisting in the planning and leading of Clinical Mock Surveys which includes maintaining the survey schedule, sending invites, updating the toolkits, participating in the site surveys, and sending final reports of findings. Observing and provide feedback to clinical leadership on possibilities for site improvements. Supporting in the startup for new openings of PHS buildings or acquisitions. Assisting with special clinical projects, as assigned. Travel Requirements: The role requires regular travel to PHS locations to deliver clinical support directly to locations as assigned. Travel may include day trips, overnight stays, extended multi-day assignments, as appropriate, to Iowa and other states where PHS communities are located. Employees are expected to manage schedules to ensure service delivery while maintaining communication with the primary office and supervisor. Travel expenses will be reimbursed by PHS Policy. Qualifications Registered nurse with current licensure with the State Board of Nursing in all states in which PHS operates. 3-5 years experience as a Director of Nursing/Clinical Administrator in Care Center and/or Assisted Living. Demonstrated competencies in health care management and operations, RAI processes, quality management, staff development, resident and family support systems, and community outreach. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in gerontological nursing, rehabilitative and restorative clinical practices. Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records. Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements for long-term care. Demonstrated successful working knowledge of regulatory compliance. Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills; adaptability, flexibility, and creativity. Ability to communicate with a variety of people. Ability and willingness to travel as needed to Wisconsin, Iowa and other PHS facilities. Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Requirements
