About The Position

This is a temporary position responsible for processing a variety of routine to more complex financial transactions for customers, including check cashing, account withdrawals, and deposits. The role requires balancing cash drawers, assisting customers with product line information, and providing a quality customer experience. A key aspect is identifying and referring sales opportunities to appropriate bank personnel to meet individual and department goals. The position emphasizes consistent relationship building, understanding customer financial goals, explaining bank products and services, and asking for referrals. It also involves adhering to bank policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with AML/BSA requirements, assisting in remediating audit deficiencies, and proactively resolving customer concerns. The role requires embracing new technology, participating in community events, and collaborating with other associates.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience required.
Flexible schedule required with ability to work during hours of operations, including weekends and occasional non-bank operational hours.
Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and exercise a high degree of initiative.
PC Proficiency in Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, and Smartphone devices as well as Microsoft Office Suite software.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 6 months previous experience in retail sales and/or financial services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Process customer transactions for a variety of routine to more complex financial transactions including but not limited to check cashing, account withdrawals and deposits.
Balance cash drawers.
Assist customers with product line information.

Identify and refer sales opportunities to appropriate bank personnel to meet individual and department goals in order to support the organization’s goals & values.

Process checks, cash and the sale of negotiable instrument transactions adhering to the banks current policies and procedures.
Ensure branch adherence to AML/BSA requirements (Currency Transaction Reports, Suspect Activity Form, etc.), audit procedures, operational procedures, dual control, security, Business Continuity, and all other regulated banking requirements to protect associates, clients, and bank assets.
Assists in remediating audit / scorecard / QC deficiencies.
Proactively helps to resolve customer concerns in a timely, professional and positive manner, escalating issues to the next level of authority as needed.
Balance cash drawer daily and monitors own work for accuracy.
Follow instructions and responds to management direction to help resolve more difficult customer objections, and solves problems in a timely and positive manner to retain the customer relationship.
