About The Position

A hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night-shift travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in ventilator management, arterial blood gas (ABG) collection, and the care of critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience
• Strong ventilator management skills
• Proven ability to perform arterial blood gas collection independently
• Experience working in high-acuity or critical care settings
• High level of reliability, accountability, and schedule flexibility
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Active state respiratory therapy license
• BLS (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult and high-acuity patients
• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
• Perform arterial punctures and obtain ABGs accurately
• Administer respiratory treatments and oxygen therapy
• Monitor patient response and adjust respiratory care plans as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Respond effectively to emergency respiratory situations
• Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
