About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to support a fast-paced Medical/Surgical unit in the Bronx . This 14-week assignment offers a full-time schedule and is ideal for a clinically strong RN with demonstrated expertise in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation. The RN will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care to a diverse Med/Surg population.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with IV insertion and phlebotomy
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing conscious sedation
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
• Active New York State RN License
• Primary Source Verification via NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
• AHA BLS – Required

Nice To Haves

• AHA ACLS – Preferred (required for select locations)

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for Medical/Surgical patients.
• Clinical Skills: Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Conscious Sedation: Monitor and manage patients undergoing conscious sedation, ensuring strict adherence to safety and monitoring protocols.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Documentation & Compliance: Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR) and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and primary source verification requirements.
