About The Position

Workfit Staffing is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Behavioral Health unit. This position requires a minimum of one year of nursing experience and an active New York RN license. The ideal candidate will have experience with Epic charting systems and demonstrate strong competencies in inpatient behavioral health care, including crisis intervention and medication administration. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (NY) in hand.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience with Epic charting system required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care within a Behavioral Health setting.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques and implement de-escalation strategies as needed.
  • Perform crisis intervention in high-risk or emergency situations.
  • Conduct patient assessments and accurately document progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Float to other units as required based on staffing needs.
