About The Position

Embark on a transformative journey as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, right in Watertown, New York, where your expertise translates into safer surgeries, smoother recoveries, and stronger patient trust. This travel assignment places you at the center of perioperative care, partnering with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and scrub personnel to orchestrate complex procedures with precision and compassion. Your role in maintaining a pristine sterile field, anticipating needs, and advocating for patients will drive outcomes and elevate the standard of care. The assignment commences on 02/16/2026, runs for several weeks, and guarantees 40 hours per week, with a competitive weekly pay range of $2,435-$2,563. Beyond the numbers, you’ll find a clear path for professional growth—expanding your skills across surgical subspecialties, refining your technology fluency, and stepping into leadership opportunities within the OR team. This is more than a job; it’s a platform to deepen your practice and make a lasting difference in patients’ lives. Watertown offers an inviting blend of small-town charm and ready access to the wonders of upstate New York. You’ll experience a community that values teamwork and patient care, with outdoor beauty at every turn—from the nearby St. Lawrence River and Thousand Islands region to the scenic Adirondacks and Finger Lakes. The area supports a balanced lifestyle, with dining, cultural events, and outdoor recreation all within reach. If you crave variety, this role also presents the option to work across additional locations in New York and even other regions of the U.S., allowing you to expand your clinical horizons while building a robust professional network and a diverse resume. Role responsibilities center on preparing and supporting a wide range of operative cases with surgical teams, maintaining instrument integrity and sterile technique, and ensuring patient safety from preoperative evaluation through postoperative recovery. You’ll assist surgeons and anesthesia teams, manage implants and devices, track specimens, and facilitate efficient room turnover to maximize patient flow. Your keen assessment of patient status, pain management, and communication with families contribute to smoother recoveries and better discharge planning. The role fosters ongoing growth: exposure to orthopedic, general, vascular, and robotic procedures; opportunities to cross-train in advanced perioperative technologies; and a pathway toward leadership roles within the OR. We recognize performance with a competitive bonus structure, plus housing assistance or stipends to support relocation. Additional extensions let you extend your assignment beyond the initial weeks if you and the facility agree it’s a good fit. You’ll receive a comprehensive benefits package and robust support, including 24/7 assistance from our dedicated travel team to address scheduling, housing, credentialing, and urgent needs while you’re on assignment. Our company is built on empowering nurses to grow—through mentorship, ongoing education, and a culture of collaboration where your voice shapes patient care. We’re committed to a respectful, inclusive work environment that values your expertise, rewards initiative, and provides clear pathways for career advancement within perioperative nursing.
