Visualize yourself stabilizing rhythm, coordinating with a cohesive ICU team, and guiding families through complex decisions, all while enjoying the unique magic of Colorado’s high country. Glenwood Springs offers mountains, hot springs, and an outdoor playground that complements a demanding clinical role with restorative moments between shifts. Location Benefits: Nestled in the heart of Colorado, Glenwood Springs presents a supportive, close-knit healthcare community where high-acuity care meets compassionate service. Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Travel CCU RN, you’ll assume responsibility for the bedside care of critically ill adults with complex cardiovascular, respiratory, and multi-system needs. Your day-to-day duties will include comprehensive assessments, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, invasive line management, ventilator support and weaning, vasoactive medication titration, and rapid response coordination during emergencies. You’ll participate in rounds with intensivists and specialty consultants, implement evidence-based protocols for sepsis, delirium, and sedation management, and collaborate with respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and dietitians to optimize patient trajectories. You’ll support meticulous documentation of status changes, daily goals, and discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions to step-down units or families’ understanding of prognosis. The role offers the chance to contribute to quality improvement initiatives, pursue advanced certifications, and deepen expertise in post-ICU recovery, neurocritical care, or cardiac stabilization as your interests guide you. In addition to clinical duties, you’ll be supported by an experienced team that values teaching, mentorship, and shared decision-making. The position provides 36 guaranteed hours per week, with a flexible assignment length that can extend based on performance and service needs.
