Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment in Eureka, California. This role supports a radiation oncology department delivering advanced cancer treatments including IMRT, SRS, and external beam therapy for a diverse adult patient population. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for Radiation Therapists experienced in high-precision treatment delivery who are comfortable working with complex oncology cases and modern radiation equipment in an acute care setting. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 5x8s (08:00–16:30) • Floating required within department and affiliated units • No call required • No weekend requirement listed

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year Radiation Therapist experience REQUIRED
  • ARRT(T) certification REQUIRED
  • BLS certification REQUIRED
  • Experience with IMRT, SRS, and external beam therapy REQUIRED
  • Epic charting experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
  • Active CA license REQUIRED (no pending accepted)
  • Must be comfortable treating oncology patients across multiple diagnoses
  • Must be willing to float within department or nearby facilities
  • Must meet 50-mile radius rule
  • Locals accepted at lower rate
  • RTO must be submitted with application

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Elekta systems preferred
  • Experience with Mosaiq and C-RAD preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments including IMRT, SRS, and external beam therapy
  • Perform patient setup and positioning using immobilization devices
  • Utilize CBCT, kV/mV imaging for treatment accuracy
  • Assist in simulation and treatment planning workflows
  • Monitor patients during treatment and respond to complications
  • Educate patients and families on procedures and safety
  • Maintain radiation safety protocols
  • Document treatments and care in Epic and Mosaiq systems
