Temporary Full Time, 14-week assignment Day shift 40 hours/week No benefits Overview Administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. May assist in developing treatment plans, carrying out routine functions, and documenting treatment progress within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist. Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions by accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures. Participates/assists with updates in the formal plan of care to address individual patient needs. Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and families to improve patient outcomes. Productive and efficient in daily operations. Valid license required in state of practice. Sentara Therapy Center - Coliseum is sensitive to each individuals fitness needs, including the physically limited, the elderly and those in chronic pain. The entire staff of licensed physical therapists and certified athletic trainers is CPR certified and is kept current in up-to-date treatment techniques available to athletes of all abilities.
