Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of a licensed PT, implement, monitor, and adjust therapeutic plans for orthopedic, neuro, and general rehabilitation cases
  • Conduct initial assessments and ongoing progress notes
  • Lead therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, strengthening, ROM, and functional training
  • Provide manual therapy where within scope
  • Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention, and self-management
  • Ensure safety, proper documentation, and equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate with PTs, occupational therapists, and other care team members to optimize outcomes
  • Advocate for patient needs and advocate for evidence-based practice
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and facility standards
