About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician to perform high-quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and accurate imaging, maintain operational readiness of lab equipment, provide patient education, and deliver diagnostic support in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
  • ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification.
  • Post-secondary certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Radiologic Technologist License issued by the New York State Department of Health.
  • BCLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Siemens Biograph Vision PET/CT systems.
  • Familiarity with union work environments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform imaging procedures in alignment with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and address questions to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals while adhering to radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
  • Verify patient identity, procedure orders, and documentation prior to imaging exams.
  • Maintain accurate patient and procedure records in compliance with institutional, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff to support diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency.
  • Assist with equipment testing, calibration, and quality assurance activities.
  • Follow all departmental and organizational policies regarding workflow, compliance, and patient care standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
