About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging procedures, including 2D/3D mammography (Digital Breast Tomosynthesis) and DEXA scans . This role is responsible for ensuring patient safety, delivering accurate diagnostic imaging, and maintaining strict compliance with MQSA , ACR , and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with patient-centered care to support early detection and diagnosis of breast abnormalities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of a JCERT-accredited Radiography Program
  • ARRT Certification (Radiography & Mammography required)
  • Active State License in Radiology & Mammography (as applicable)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Hands-on experience with 3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis)
  • Strong knowledge of MQSA and ACR standards
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced ARRT Bone Density (DEXA) Certification
  • Experience with stereotactic breast procedures
  • Proficiency with PACS and EMR systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, including 3D mammography (tomosynthesis)
  • Conduct DEXA scans (spine, hip, forearm) based on physician orders
  • Prepare and educate patients on imaging procedures and expectations
  • Verify physician orders, prior imaging, and patient history for accuracy
  • Ensure proper patient identification using two identifiers
  • Operate mammography and stereotactic equipment safely and efficiently
  • Evaluate image quality to ensure diagnostic accuracy
  • Maintain compliance with MQSA and ACR standards through QA/QC processes
  • Perform daily, weekly, and periodic quality control checks with proper documentation
  • Manage PACS workflows , including image transfer and exam linking
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams for optimal patient care
  • Monitor equipment performance and report issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
  • Assist with inventory management of imaging supplies
