About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care in a long-term care setting. This role involves delivering direct patient care, supervising nursing assistants, and ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
  • Active, unrestricted LPN license in the state of Massachusetts
  • Current BLS/CPR and AED certification
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in English
  • Knowledge of age-specific care requirements in long-term care settings
  • Ability to lead, organize, and implement care plans effectively
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with residents, families, and staff
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet job-related sensory requirements
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct nursing assistants in accordance with facility policies and regulations
  • Plan and coordinate daily care activities and assignments
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation for admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Transcribe physician orders and ensure proper charting
  • Administer medications safely and accurately, verifying patient identity
  • Perform nursing procedures including catheterization, tube feeding, suctioning, dressing changes, and wound care
  • Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
  • Collect and process specimens (urine, blood, sputum) as required
  • Ensure dietary compliance for food brought from outside sources
  • Provide education and support to residents and their families
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights at all times
  • Participate in patient rounds, facility surveys, and onboarding of new residents
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and demonstrate leadership
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
