The Travel Industry Sales Manager is responsible for generating business through prospecting and securing non-negotiated transient business on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the goals and strategies outlined in the annual Marketing Plan and in concert with WSO efforts. The position is responsible for soliciting and securing business from key travel industry sources. Accountable for generating resort awareness through direct sales and digital solicitation; direct in-person sales calls, tradeshows, and networking. Work closely with the sales and marketing team to solicit, sell, and confirm business required to meet budgeted sales goals. The manager is accountable for ensuring quotas and goals are met and ensuring that direct sales activities are focused on generating the highest possible RevPar for the overall hotel’s success. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion in decision-making.

Requirements

  • Luxury hotel Sales preferred (minimum of 3 years) or 3 – 5 or operational hotel experience
  • Proven sales track record a plus
  • College Degree – 4 years or equivalent experience
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
  • Computer skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Golden Sales & Catering, IDeaS, TravelClick, and Opera.
