How you make a difference The Travel Director of Nursing provides leadership and oversight of nursing services by planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing programs across multiple facilities as needed to fill vacancies. This role ensures nursing practices comply with contractual obligations, accreditation standards, and state regulations while maintaining consistent quality of patient care. The position coordinates staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and continuing education for nursing personnel in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator. The Travel Director of Nursing actively participates in quality improvement, infection control, pharmacy and therapeutics, and risk management activities, ensuring required reports and follow-up actions are completed timely. This role serves as a liaison between nursing services, medical providers, facility leadership, and external agencies while remaining visible, responsive, and available for on-call nursing emergencies. Additional Details This position requires extensive travel. Candidate will need to reside in State of Florida. Relocation support is not offered.
