Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a CVOR Tech for a travel assignment in Akron, Ohio. This role supports a cardiovascular operating room performing open heart and vascular procedures in a high-acuity surgical environment. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for surgical techs with strong CVOR experience who are confident scrubbing open heart and vascular cases and working within a fast-paced surgical team. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 4x10s (07:00–17:30) • Open heart and vascular procedures :contentReference[oaicite:0] • Call required: 1–2 weekdays/week + weekend rotation • Holiday call rotation possible • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Scrub open heart and vascular surgical procedures • Maintain sterile field throughout all procedures • Assist surgeons during cardiac and vascular cases • Prepare surgical instruments and equipment • Support complex procedures including wired vascular cases • Ensure proper surgical counts and sterile technique • Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital setting • Cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) • High-acuity surgical environment • Adult patient population Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Surgical Tech experience REQUIRED
- CVOR experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
- Must have open heart and vascular experience
- BLS REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
- Active OH license REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
- Must be comfortable scrubbing complex cardiac cases
