About The Position

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation protection standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent judgment, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiography Program
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) – Required
  • Massachusetts State License in Radiation Control – Required
  • CT Certification (ARRT) or completion of an accredited CT program – Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
  • Minimum 3 years of Radiologic Technologist experience or at least 1 year of recent CT Tech experience (within the last 5 years)
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and safety protocols

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas as ordered by physicians
  • Operate CT equipment and control console with precision
  • Position patients and ensure proper imaging techniques
  • Monitor patient condition and provide care during procedures
  • Administer or assist with contrast media as required
  • Evaluate images for quality and diagnostic accuracy
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
  • Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
  • Assist physicians and nursing staff during procedures
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained, and functioning properly
