Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) to join the team. This role will be Full-time, 10-hour shift: Tuesday- Friday 7:00 AM start. Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of radiography.
  • Certification: Must be certified by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist required upon start. Must obtain CT Certification one year upon acceptance of the offer. Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and/or Computed Tomography Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Computed Tomography Technologist administers sound patient care practices, according to department and hospital policies/procedures, to ensure patient safety.
  • Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Demonstrates radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self, as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure the safety of the patients and staff.
  • Maintains equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of the patients and employees.
  • Tracks patients according to department procedures. Identifies errors and takes immediate action for corrections, as evidenced by the EMR and PACS systems as well as the Radiology Information Systems reports.
  • Participates in department/hospital performance improvement initiatives, in-services and meetings, as evidenced by attendance records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
