About The Position

Be part of a growing team supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC) with engineering service, quality assurance, maintenance planning, and other technical services under the MSC N7 task order. As a CACI Travel Coordinator, a successful candidate will be able to quickly learn CACI systems, implement policy (CACI, DOD, and contract), work efficiently with other team members, and interface with traveling employees to successfully plan travel and file accurate expense reports. Our seasoned MSC program management team provides critical support for engineering activities in the US, Europe, Middle East, and the Far East. The initial role is focused on travel coordination, but collateral duties in a wide range of other areas are possible depending on the individual and the skills/capabilities he/she brings. In addition to gaining and applying contractual knowledge related to the IAC MAC contract and the JTR/FAR, the Travel Coordinator will support and provide assistance on specific travel, policy, and professional issues. Requirements

  • US citizen capable of acquiring and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of related professional experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). This includes basic typing, data input, basic mathematics for spreadsheet utilization.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with verbal and written communications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of professional experience with degree.
  • Experience with government travel and JTR knowledge.
  • DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be able to work independently with limited oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.

Responsibilities

  • File Travel Authorizations and Expense Reports, ensuring proper documentation is submitted for all travel claims and expenses.
  • Ensure all travel activities comply with DoD regulations, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), and company policies.
  • Work with Program Travel team and International Business Office on issues related to CONUS and OCONUS travel.
  • Assist with implementing new travel policy at the program level as required to capture lessons learned and implement best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on travel compliance requirements.
  • Interface with program management travel authorization and expense report approvers to deconflict issues.
  • Work with PM, Project managers, and finance team on budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of travel documentation.
  • Work with shipyards to file visit requests.
