About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Travel Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. The Travel Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of business travel for individuals and groups. This role ensures seamless travel experiences by handling bookings, creating detailed itineraries, managing budgets, and serving as a key point of contact for travelers. The Travel Coordinator works closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and clients to ensure travel plans align with organizational policies, budget guidelines, and traveler needs, while also responding effectively to unexpected changes or emergencies. This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week onsite.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple travel requests simultaneously
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills for working with travelers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Proven ability to negotiate with airlines, hotels, and transportation providers to secure competitive rates and services
  • Solid problem-solving skills, especially when handling last-minute changes, delays, or travel disruptions
  • Comfortable using travel booking systems, expense management tools, and related software
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing timely and effective support
  • Ability to work within established travel policies and monitor compliance across departments
  • 2+ years experience in travel coordination, administrative support, or a similar role is strongly preferred
