About The Position

The main purpose of this position is to provide travel arrangements for employees and guests of Werner Enterprises, Werner Maintenance and Drivers. This includes scheduling domestic and international airline reservations, booking hotel accommodations, and reserving rental cars. The role involves confirming travel arrangements for associates traveling on company business and within the parameters of the Company’s Corporate Travel & Expense Policy. Responsibilities also include processing changes and cancellations to minimize penalties and lost funds, tracking unused airline tickets, and performing quality control of reservations using online booking tools. The consultant acts as a resource to travelers by offering the lowest logical airfares and utilizing preferred vendors. Additionally, the position assists with corporate jet arrangements, meeting arrangements, and problem-solving related to credit card or direct bill charges. Requirements

  • Highly proficient with Travelport and/or Smartpoint.
  • Knowledge of air, car and hotel policies and rules.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good telephone skills with an emphasis on customer service and consulting.
  • Proven capability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • 4+ years’ experience working with corporate travel or related travel industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm travel arrangements for associates traveling on company business and within the parameters of the Company’s Corporate Travel & Expense Policy.
  • Process changes and cancellations to minimize penalties and lost funds for the Company and tracking unused airline tickets.
  • Working knowledge of online booking tools and perform quality control of reservations.
  • Act as consultant to travelers by offering lowest logical airfares and use of preferred vendors.
  • Assist with corporate jet arrangements and/or meeting arrangements.
  • Assist with problem solving as related to credit card or direct bill charges.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
