About The Position

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Trauma Registrar - Full Time Day schedule The Trauma Registrar prepares spreadsheets, reports, lists, and matrixes for use in operations of department. Reviews confidential, statistical data for accuracy and safeguards all confidential facts and figures at all times. Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center , a Certified Primary Stroke Center, has 145 licensed beds and features the latest healthcare technologies, serving the region with the life-saving capabilities of an ultra-modern medical center. The hospital offers a full range of medical care from emergency heart catheterization to all-inclusive obstetrics care where patients can stay in one room. The hospital also provides advanced imaging and “smart” operating rooms. Requirements

  • High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
  • Administrative experience - 3 years (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of a HIM program ( highly preferred )
  • College graduate (Preferred)
  • Bachelors Degree may be accepted in lieu of experience
  • CSTR or CAISS certification (Preferred, or acquire withing 3 years)
  • HIM trained, trauma registrar experience (Preferred)
  • Epic and ICD coding experience (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology (Preferred)
