WI-SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: This is a part time Trauma Registrar position for St. Mary's Hospital in Madison working a total of 16 hours per week. Schedule: Primarily working remotely with some need for occasional in person team meetings in Madison. The specific shift and days of the week are flexible. Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining the trauma registry and required data submissions to both state and national databases.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Applied Science or related field or equivalent education and experience
  • Two years' experience in health care

Responsibilities

  • Completes daily analysis of medical records for trauma patients, determines eligibility for registry reporting and maintains the trauma registry.
  • Maintains, utilizes, and communicates current knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and standards, with regard to trauma care.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding, accurate interpretation, and knowledge of the standards that regulate trauma registry activities.
  • Completes daily analysis of medical records for trauma patients and determines eligibility for registry reporting.
  • Performs queries for basic monthly reports from the trauma registry database.
  • Utilizes various software systems to perform analysis, graphs, and compile data and reports in format that is user friendly.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships providers, agencies, and internal departments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
