About The Position

It's more than a career, it's a calling MO-SSM Health DePaul Hospital - St. Louis Worker Type: PRN Job Highlights: This is a PRN (as needed) position to fill-in for open shifts due to vacations, leaves of absence, etc. No guaranteed hours or benefits - variable shifts. Job Summary: Transports patients, specimens and equipment throughout the facility.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
• No experience required
• State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher or bed to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment.
• Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Delivers equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department.
• May assist staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.
• Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• May clean and disinfect hospital equipment, including intravenous pumps, drips, and monitors, using established cleaning guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
