About The Position

From warm greetings to attentive service, you’ll be a key part of the patient experience—helping ensure comfort, dignity, and care every step of the way.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write English
• Ability to follow simple directions
• Basic clerical skills for logging patient names and destinations
• Planning skills to efficiently route patient transports
• Weekends required for the first 2 years.
• The shift includes weekdays, weekends and holidays and requires registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.
• Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses

Nice To Haves

• Strong customer service background
• Experience in hospitality or healthcare environments
• A passion for putting patients first

Responsibilities

• Escort patients throughout the hospital with courtesy and care
• Respond promptly and politely to patient needs and questions
• Build meaningful connections with patients and families
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure patient safety
• Transport medical records, lab specimens, equipment, and more
• Change O2 tanks and apply O2 regulators as needed
