About The Position

Do you enjoy spending time with seniors? Charter House Senior Living Community is looking for an individual to transport residents/clients to a variety of appointments in a safe and efficient manner. Your responsibilities as a transporter include completing resident/client escort assignment in a timely manner, and interacting politely and professionally with residents/clients, family members, and medical center staff. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

• high school diploma or equivalent

• Internal candidates must also attach their three most recent performance appraisals.
• Internal candidates who have not met their current department's 1- or 2-year commitment, must attach an early release from their current supervisor.
• International Degrees A detailed equivalency evaluation is required, demonstrating a U.S. equivalent degree. Evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) (www.naces.org) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) (www.aice-eval.org).

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in geriatrics is preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and human relation skills to interact with residents/clients, family members, and staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
• Varied hours, almost always during the day shift.
