About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Patient Transporter for its Internal Transporters Unit. The role involves embracing the mission to extend God’s care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Ability to prioritize and report observed changes in patient condition or behavior to RN
  • The ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Skills in talking to others to effectively convey information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in clinical care setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Transports patient to and from locations in the hospital.
  • Performs other duties such as organizing and distributing schedules, maintaining transportation supplies, assisting on the nursing units when available.
