About The Position

If you’re ready to play a key role in the care and caring of our patients, explore the following position: Maintain a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support while escorting patients to areas throughout the hospital conducting yourself in a courteous manner and responding to patients’ needs and inquiries politely and promptly. Spend quality time and build solid relationships with patients and their families. Go above and beyond for patients, deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times. In this role you will transport patients from the nursing units to various hospital departments; to make pick-ups and deliveries of Medical Records, Lab Specimens, pharmacy and other equipment. May need to change O2 tanks, and apply O2 regulators on conveyance vehicles. This is a full time day shift position, including weekends/holidays located at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens located in Flushing, NY. Schedule is 5 days a week 8:00 am to 4:00 pm,. Weekends are required for the first 2 years. Required Criteria High School Diploma or GED Some previous experience in food service is desirable. Ability to follow simple directions. Preferred Criteria Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First. Experience in the hotel, restaurant or retail industry. The shift includes weekdays, weekends and holidays and requires registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund. Salary Range: $24.94-$26.83/Hourly It all begins with you.
