About The Position

Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine administrative or accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures.

Requirements

• Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills
• Logistical skills, including map reading and routing
• Ability to stay calm in stressful or confrontational situations

• Previous data entry experience
• Thorough and attentive to details

• Knowledge of transportation operations
• Knowledge of shipping procedures
• Previous clerical or administrative experience
• Microsoft Office Word and Excel experience

Responsibilities

• Provide information and services to drivers, distributors and other departments
• Perform office duties such as: data entry, filing, record-keeping and answering the phone
• Automatically and manually assign drivers to trips
• Cover extra trips and driver absences
• Assist with creating the driver bid
• Maintain the extra trip list
• Review and enter driver special requests and PTO
• Cross-train, and fill in for payroll to cover time off
• Cover dispatch occasionally
• Learn and use MyDispatch
• Serves as a subject matter expert and/or resource to others in matters relating to scheduling
• Maintain strictest confidence in every aspect of this position
• Perform all other job related tasks as required
