Our Warehouse and Transportation Partners are key to helping stock H-E-B Stores and keeping our supply chain moving all over Texas and Mexico. As a Team Leader I for H-E-B Warehouse or Transportation, you'll manage different areas of operation to develop expertise in people leadership and tactical operational leadership. You'll lead a team of hourly Partners. Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. Management / Operations: Spends majority of time using independent judgment making employment-related business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions (e.g., product- and department-related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters) Provides daily supervision and support for an assigned group of hourly Partners; maintains an environment where Partners trust and respect the Leader and work together as a team to accomplish goals and objectives Engages with Partners daily; clearly explains roles, expectations and performance measurements for each critical component that impacts business outcomes Operates a team that consistently meets customer needs and expectations; tracks / monitors / resolves complaints; ensures service recovery efforts; identifies trends; provides feedback Monitors / evaluates key performance indicators for daily and weekly team performance; measures against goals; gets team buy-in; provides team feedback Monitors / adjusts labor requirements to balance staffing levels and overtime costs while meeting daily facility performance expectations Takes an active role in development of Partners; provides leaning and growth opportunities; addresses performance that does not meet expectations Maintains a clean, safe, pest-free, and well-organized facility; complies / ensures compliance with established SOPs; documents measures through SOPs in compliance with OSHA and H-E-B guidelines Recognizes Partner achievements What is your background?
